Sumatran an Tiger Cubs Born in Captivity at ZSL Zoo London

The London Zoo or ZSL has proudly been announcing the birth of not just one but 3 little tiger cubs being born to their female Sumatran tigeress on Monday 3 February 2014. The Tigress pregnancy lasted 106-day pregnancy after which she gave birth to 3 healthy cubs.
Her name is Melati and as yet the sex of the new tiger cubs is not known. They have installed some secret webcams so that the new tiger cubs and the tiger mother can be observed closely during their fist few fews of new life without disturbing them

Take a look at the Baby Tiger Cub Pictures they have captured on their webcam

Sumatran Tigers are endangered animals with only about 300 to be believed currently alive, so all the more joy that 3 little new additions have enjoyed a healthy birth. The Tiger father is also at home at the ZSL Zoo London and his name is Jae Jae . The London Zoo has been promising lots more footage of the baby tiger cubs in the next few weeks and their are hoping to be able to show the little tigers to visitors around easter time ..so stay tuned

Echo has created some fab baby tiger coloring pages which might be fun for kids activities whilst learning more about these baby tifers
